About Me

I'm a writer dreaming of being published, with a preference for prose but a love for poetry. I've been writing some ten years, possibly longer, and I write a lot of gothic, fantasy, and science fiction.

A Return, an Apology, and a Decision

Hey.

Sorry for the stupidly long hiatus, I was finishing my BA degree and had started working a job I frankly hate (here's hoping a better job comes in the new year). Also, I am planning to do a Masters degree starting in September, then getting a PhD, so at least my life is getting organised a bit.

Anyway, I've decided that this blog will no longer just be for creative writings. I'd love to keep it that way, but my heart is drifting towards academic writing, and, in light of wanting to be an academic as a career, I thought it'd be best to have a space to flex my analytic muscles a bit. So I shall start writing mini essays on here: nothing dissertation-worthy, just little essays looking at subjects I normally wouldn't be writing papers on once I get back to university.

These essays will mostly be looking at film, television, maybe even visual arts and propaganda if my heart is set on something in that area. I won't be using many critics aside from those I have on my bookshelf, but it's something I want to do.

Creative writing may be weaved into this blog again at times, but it, like the essays I want to do, will be random and sudden.

Thanks for listening to this ramble, guys.
